Rather, there was one type of precipitation I missed before. Hail. If you are outside during an indeterminate storm and find yourself thinking, "This is cold and tickly, like a puppy's nose," then that is snow. If you instead are thinking, "Ow! [Grapefruit segments]!" that is hail, in which case an umbrella is allowed.
